Biography: Dr. Rogers is a native Texan, born in San Antonio. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1972 with a bachelor's degree in biology. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center Medical School in San Antonio in 1977. He completed his internship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He did his general surgery residency also at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, followed by a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery (19781983) at the same medical center. In 2012, Dr. Rogers merged his practice with the START Center for Cancer Care. Dr. Rogers is board certified by the American Board of Surgery as well as the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Mayoral is board certified in general surgery and colon and rectal surgery. He specializes in complicated colon and rectal surgical diseases and provides personalized patient care. Additionally, Dr. Mayoral is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing him to communicate effectively with the greater San Antonio community. He believes that every patient's problem, simple or complex, can be managed and treated with compassion and understanding. Having served in the United States Army for more than twenty years, Dr. Mayoral is proud to continue his service through teaching military surgical residents, and providing them with a unique educational opportunity.
