Dr. Alireza Karbassi, DMD

I had two preteens referred to orthodontist. In the beginning scheduling was an issue and remains an issue. Mask hostility continues today though some personnel wear and some do not. Dentist does not. One child was scheduled to be seen 6 times that no work was completed and two others he was rescheduled. Tw years later they finally explained the alleged reason why and want to start braces procedure from scratch. The other child has spent almost two years with upper braces and no bottoms because dentist refused to complete any work until we did an extraction. Which no one world touch because they already placed braces. So he had a dozen appointments for no work to be done and around 13 months of not being seen at all. With an upper set on his teeth. We finally get the extraction and his bottom bonding appointment was a disaster. He was sent home with two unadhered brackets. I was told to bring him back and then dentist said, they lock the building in 5 minutes come back next week.

I hate writing bad reviews. But i feel like one is needed for this. Dr. Karbassi has been rude every single visit and has NO care for the actual patients. He is EXTREMELY rough. Holds my face like i am just a mannequin. I can take pain fairy well when it comes to oral things, but i leave in tears almost every visit. There are only 4 chairs leaving the waiting room always packed. Overall my main concern is how rude and rough he is on every visit. And this isn't only him, other workers are also rough and not friendly. There has only been one worker that i've actually enjoyed.Talking about future plans regarding what is going to be done is always difficult. He never listens to what we have to say and always is convinced we don't know what we are talking about, leading to him catching an attitude. Besides that, Due to Dr. Karbassi being our only option because of insurance, we have to deal with it.

Came into the office, and immediately realized we forgot our masks. I apologized to the front desk and asked if we could please be given one. We were told that the Dr. Won't give out as they are "hard to come by" and we'd have to reschedule our consultation. After saying I wouldn't reschedule if we were turned away, we were told we could be seen, WITHOUT a mask. Then asked to fill out paperwork with a ribbon lined pen that everyone else had used. When asked if they had a clean pen, the dentist came out and said they don't do that because the plastic can't be cleaned. Cheap cheap cheap. They can take 3k for braces but can't offer a government provided mask?! The staff, also eye rolled at his policies and said he was difficult to deal with. Also, doesn't seem that they care much about covid policies. Glad I decided to go elsewhere.

Dr. Karbassi and his staff are amazing! I had braces for over 2 years, and the whole experience was great. My teeth came out better than I could have ever expected after my braces. I definitely recommend Dr. Karbassi!!

STAY CLEAR from this office. My daughter spent 2 1/2 years in braces and when Dr K said it was time to have them removed I said I wasn’t happy because her teeth were not aligned properly and he said, “oh well then, she will have to have her jaw broken!” Never once was this mentioned in any plan of care during the entire treatment! He also insisted my daughter do a five-star review of his office on her last visit while she was present in the office and physically prevented her from exiting a doorway. Needless to say, we had to have ALL of the orthodontic work re-done at a reputable orthodontist.

Orthodontic treatment didn't work. I had to get braces twice. My teeth still aren't straight. I paid out of pocket for upper and lower braces: he only ever put braces on my upper teeth, and only about half of his staff are polite. He's a very nice guy, but I paid thousands of dollars for years worth of treatment that didn't work.

The consultation was wonderful. After the second visit the orthodontist was very rude to myself and my child. The office is very unsanitary, the doctor doesn't wear a mask. They do not sterilize the mirrors that they stick in the next clients mouth. If I would have knew all of this before I signed a contract I would have went somewhere else. Beware!

PARENTS & PATIENTS BEWARE! Please be cautious of Karbassi Orthodontics. Our experience with this doctor was extremely negative. Dr. Karbassi is rude to the parents and mean to the children. We witnessed several parents being very upset for many reasons and children crying at the office. The office is highly unorganized and there is a severe lack of cleanliness. The billing system is untrustworthy, and the medical care is unsanitary, Dr. Karbassi does not wear medical gloves/masks for every patient. Our son’s braces were incorrectly put on causing extreme issues, we switched to a new orthodontist where the braces had to be completely removed and put back on and treatment started all over again after over a year of wearing them. Please do your research before choosing this doctor, there are a countless number of very negative and concerning reviews and complaints/grievances have been filed with the Ohio State Dental Board, Better Business Bureau and local Dental Societies.

We never received care under Dr. Karbassi, but I brought my daughter here for her first evaluation. He pushed to install an appliance bc that is what my daughter's insurance approved (and nothing else). But a second opinion at a more reputable provider revealed she did NOT need this. Dr. K pushed and pushed to get her in there for an appliance but would explain nothing! He had NO treatment plan for her. He only wanted to get braces on her to collect our $. A terrible person! He was rude and condescending to my wife. They came up with a mystery bill after we fully paid off the braces and he refused to remove the braces until the bill was paid. I filed complaints with the BBB he did not respond to and also the Ohio Dental & Orthodonics boards. He refused to go to mediation holding my son hostage. Charged us $900 after because we complained. Teeth are still crooked.

I would recommend Dr. Karbassi to everyone! He is awesome with his patients and very rare to find an orthodontist that that really cares and has such a big heart! Great man and great job on my sons teeth!

He does good work. And he has a cute face lol.

I paid for 2 kids for 5 plus years. My son when all was said and done has 1\4" gaps in his smile on both sides of his mouth! My wife was told that was the finished product, he could close gaps but that would cause an under bite. This was never a problem before. My daughter was taken there for an under bite, her treatment is winding down and still have the same problem we took her there for to begin with. Now we are trying to figure out what to do from here. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR! Very disappo

Overall excellent across the board from the front desk to the Dentist

We started out about a year ago on this journey of straightening my teeth. Now my journey is over and the results are incredible. I am truely pleased with my results. Thank you so much.

I had a very good experience. My son was very afraid of braces. Dr Karbassi was able to communicate with my son and put him at ease.
