Very pleasant and extremely informative, best periodontist I’ve ever seen.

Communication:
The staff members responsible for the operation of this business have absolutely no communication skills whatsoever, either that or they just don't care. It's really quite sad.

Poor Customer Service
I took my son to see Dr. Gillihan in December. She said she would follow up and its April and I am still waiting. However, I didn't have the best feeling about this practice, so we looked elsewhere for the care he needed. Then my bill came. They only billed one insurance. I spoke to them several times and said that he had 2 insurances and it needed to be ran through both. I received the bill again yesterday in the mail, noticing that it still had only been ran through one insurance. I am OVER reminding them of how to do their job and they say they will do it and never get back to you or update their records. I paid my bill so I can be done with their office and NEVER EVER have to deal with them again! I DO NOT RECOMMEND! Stay clear - if you don't - you will have issues!

I have seen Dr. Gillihan and her awesome staff for a while now. They all really listened to me and when I told her I think I have a cavity, she did the exam called my insurance before she did the filling, deep cleaning before the surgery. I am so blessed I was referred to her office! I will not let anyone else work on my teeth. I love everyone in Dr. Gillihan’s office! They all do really care about people!

I just completed treatment with Dr. Gillihan. Start to finish I felt listened to by her and her staff. The explanation of my condition, in addition to my insurance, was clear and concise. I am happy with my results and the overall care provided.

Do not go to this office, their billing person is incompentent and rude. They make you pay upfront and It took them six months to bill claim for my daughter and once it was paid by the insurance company, they refused to refund my money. They also charge for imaging and exams that they do not submit to the insurance company and have you pay out of pocket. They use the same billing codes as your general dentist does so it you have an exam there and have been seen by your general dentist in the last six months it will not be paid. They dont tell you that. The care provided to my daughter was fine, however did not require great expertise and was terribly overbilled. An exam was billed for over $300 when all she did was lift up her lip and say oh yes that needs to be taken care of. I would not recommend this practice.

I have had two procedures with Dr. Gillihan - the first was a skin graft on my gums and the second was a biopsy. I was very happy with Dr. Gillihan and her staff. The procedures were no fun, but I wouldn't want anyone else to have done the procedures.
