Best of my four root canals!
I moved to the Des Moines area from Kansas City where I'd had three previous root canals. Here's what I experienced that was different about Dr. Chan. First, he explained the problem with my tooth clearly and offered treatment options. Second, throughout the treatment, he explained what he was going to do before he did it. There were no surprises I had a challenging case, and his communication was a big plus. At the end, he asked me to return in six months for a check-up without additional charge. He works hard to deliver high quality dentistry. Thanks, Dr. Chan!

After Dr Chan's procedure, it seems silly that a root canal is the stereotypical dreaded thing to avoid. The only uncomfortable aspect of mine was the need to keep my jaw open and that was minor. I told the staff it was "almost fun."

Having a root canal sucks and is no fun, UNLESS you have Dr Chan do it. I can’t say enough good words about this man. I have had several root canals done before and they were painful. I felt like I was in a production line to be quite honest with you with the others. I had several people I work with give high regards to Dr Chan and now I see why. He was FANTASTIC. The incredible thing was NO PAIN. That surprised me. When he numbed me up, he did this in several parts so I would be partially numb before the next shot. He truly understood how painful this was and took steps to make it as painless as possible. Dr Chan explained everything every step of the way, was very energetic, positive, fun and was quite enjoyable to work with. I hope that I don’t have to have any more root canals in the future, but it is good to know that if I do, I have the best, most considerate person doing them. On a scale of 1 to 10, he is a 20!

Best root canal treatment I have ever received! No pain, not even during the novacain. Gave a wonderful consultation and explained everything to a T. Had a gentle touch and a great sense of humor. I will definitely be back for any future root canals.

Dr. Chan did a root canal today and I'm feeling so much better. He was so caring and made sure I understood everything he was about to do. He explained all possibilities of what could happen, explained what he was doing as he did it,and answered all my questions. He made sure I knew that I could call him anytime if I experienced any problems. I highly recommend him!
