Dr. Blake Matthews, DDS

We’ve been seeing Dr. Blake Matthews for over 20 years. He and his staff work to make you so comfortable (music, movie, blanket, free nitrous). Our kids look forward going there. When you need work, he explains everything really thoroughly and gives you all your options. He also does excellent work.

There is constant employee turnover and he pushes his workers to pressure you into treatments you don’t want to do. He thinks he’s a jack of all trades including performing treatment that should be done by Endontist’s, orthodontists Etc. The whole vibe in the office is uncomfortable and I would not recommend visiting this office.

Myself and extended family have left Dr. Matthews practice. He wants to do x-rays that are not requested and has left family members waiting for long periods of time. He left my elderly mother with a rubber block in her mouth for 40 minutes while seeing other patients. The dental assistant was kind enough to remove the block and massage her jaw. The last straw was removal of a tooth in prep for an implant. He did the tooth extraction and left half of a tooth root which then had to be corrected by a periodontist. Staff are excellent.
