AWESOME!!! So here’s my story. I had a cracked tooth which needed a crown. After the crown was done, the tooth continued to be painful with cold things and slight bite sensitivity. I waited about 6 weeks and when the tooth continued to be highly sensitive, I went to Dr Crumpton. He did multiple tests and recommended OTC pain meds and see if the tooth would get better. So after a total of 4 months, I went back as the tooth continued to be very cold and bite sensitive. This time, all of the tests and x-rays indicated that I would indeed need a root canal. I must say that Dr. Crumpton and his staff are very nice and professional. He totally got me ‘numb’. I hear people always saying how bad root canals are, this is not true. Once the numbness had worn off, I was pain free and that very night I ate ice cream without any pain (I must say this was a test). I also believe that I know a little more about the procedure than most people giving their reviews. See, I am William Gray, DMD, a general dentist in Starkville, MS. I personally perform root canals on my own patients, but if there is ever a question about root anatomy or if the case maybe beyond my ability, I always refer the patient to Dr Crumpton. I have been referring patients to Dr Crumpton for many years now, with excellent results. Now I know firsthand how he gets the results that he does. So to recap: 1. I first would like to say that if your dentist tells you need a crown due to a cracked tooth, do it ASAP because if you wait and the crack gets worse, you will likely need a root canal in addition to the crown (I knew I had a cracked tooth and waited to get the crown done which is why I had to have the crown and root canal done). 2. Do not worry about the procedure ‘hurting’, it does NOT. He will make sure that you are numb. 3. If you have to have a root canal I would highly recommend Dr. Crumpton

Welcome change
I have dental PTSD after MANY Very uncomfortable years of bad Dentistry. I have had many root canals over the years with pain included. Dr. Crumpton was the first endo that I’ve used that made sure of my comfort. The visit was about me. All the others liked to crow about their ability but wouldn’t take ownership of my discomfort or felt the need to have any empathy or compassion. From the receptionist to the assistants to the Doctor, class act.
