Dr. Brian Furie, DMD

I had the same issue that another reviewer did. He filled molar cavities and did not do them correctly. I ended up needing a root canal to fix the problem he created. Furthermore, the receptionist acts as though she owns the practice and is clearly reading from a script when she talks to patients over the phone.

This doctor was absolutely terrific..what was horrific was his receptionist.. the problem started when she called me at work for an appointment made months before..she made insulting inferences saying o was hard to get in touch with.she called me and asked me to confirm an appointment and I told her I could not confirm unless I checked my schedule.I worked two minimum wage jobs. I said I cannot confirm the appointment. I could not look at the schedule because I was busy at work, she also told me a completely different date than what she accused me of missing. When I walked in to clarify an issue with my insurance because she did not understand that the policy was under my spouses ss# she accused me of lying about my coverage because I still use my maiden name and it was different from his so accuse me of lying.I could no longer be seen by the doctor according to her. never had such a frustrating experience. doctor furie was awesome his receptionist was a literal condescending nightmare

While I initially thought this office was professional and welcoming, my experience turned into a nightmare. Dr. Furie filled a very deep cavity in a molar, which lasted less than three months and then required a root canal, post and crown. I thought it odd he would fill such a large cavity without at least discussing options with me, however I said nothing. I spent 3-5 visits to complete the work on that tooth. When he did the same thing on a second molar and it turned black, required flushing and yet more time and money, I questioned why he would not have done a root canal right up front and why a two-month old filling would turn black. He said he’s conservative and was furious that I dared to ask. He gave me five shots and when I wasn’t sufficiently numb in HIS time, he threatened to call it a day. I had to beg him or risk vacation with a painful tooth. How utterly sad. I paid him regularly, recommended other patients and when the second tooth required treatment, it was fo

Switching dentists was a difficult thing to do but I just felt it was time for me to find a new dentist. I can only say I wish I switched to Dr Furie sooner! He is a talented and caring dentist and has absolutely taken the fear out of caring for your teeth. That atmosphere resonates throughout his whole office. I was made to feel welcome and comfortable by a friendly and caring staff.

Dr. Furie is very patient with the person that is afraid of the dentist. He takes his time and explains everything he is doing before he does it. Being a very fearful person, I couldn't be happier having him as my dentist.

Was looking for a new dentist. Was highly ecommended by friends. First appointment was on 4/11/16 for a cleaning(Abby the hygentist) was excellent. Check upafter cleaning by Dr. Furie. Brand new office in Freehold. Staff is very friendly. Would highly recommend.
