Dr. Charles Putnam, DMD

Dr. Putnam's calm and self-assured manner exudes an immediate sense of trust. His extensive education and clear communication about the procedure leave no doubt that you are in extremely capable hands. I trust him implicitly and wouldn't consider going anywhere else.

No trip for dental work is pleasant, but this was by far the worst experience I ever had. I have been encouraged by other friends who work in the dental community to post a negative review for Dr. Putnam on every site possible. Not enough characters allotted to go into what happened during my root canal.

This person refused to use other specialists recent x-rays/scans thus forcing you to pay him to take his own scans. Disliked being challenged on this very much. Became condescending. Recommended I go to dental school for care in Charleston and that I "required full anesthesia" for a root canal retreat vs nitrous oxide which has always been sufficient for me. He did not care about my input on my own treatment plan. He basically berated me for attempting to balance price with quality, something that is a patient's fundamental right. Find an endodontist who accepts other specialists' reports and x-rays. Don't let him intimidate you into charging you to take them so he can "have his own". Some staff unprofessional too... It starts at the top.

My face was swollen, and in a lot of pain. Dr. was compassionate and fixed my abscessed tooth problem. I feel fortunate to have been sent to Dr Putnam by dentist.

This man is a rude rude dentist! No chair side manner. I had to have an emergency root canal. I was visibly upset over having to have this procedure and he didn’t console me at all. Then during the procedure he not once asked me how I was doing. Even though I raised my hand multiple times to tell him I was in pain and uncomfortable. I had saliva running down my neck, pain, not pressure and he just yelled at me. Then after the root canal he proceeded to tell me how he will NEVER treat me again because I was moving in the chair. He might be good at what he does but I will make sure I never go there again either! On top of all this, I went ther in no pain and I’ve now been in severe pain for 3 days! Oh and I wasn’t even numb when I left there. Terrible place!

Dr Putnam is painless and a true professional! And I am a big chicken!

Dr. Putnam was amazing. He took such great care and dedicated time to making sure I was comfortable. Highly recommend this wonderful endodontist!

My daughter, 7, was referred to him for a root canal. He was amazing and very kind to her. He was very reassuring to her and she was not scared one time.

I found Dr Putnam to be truly caring about his patients. For me, I have a 60 year old fear of all dentist but Dr. Putnam erased that FEAR today. Spot on, honest, professional and caring. I would have no problem recommending Dr. Jason to friends, family and my 92 year old Mom. He is GREAT!!!
