Dr. Clay Goins, DDS

Condescending and a lack of complete and accurate information regarding my granddaughter’s recommended protocol. Her 4 front upper teeth were surgically removed rather than being capped or filled as was explained in the office visit. No mention of the teeth being extracted was ever mentioned. No mention of her molars being capped was ever mentioned in the office visit. Must a five year old child live for a year or even 2 years with no upper front teeth? That seems a cruel way to treat an innocent child with cavities that has happened through no fault of her own. And without a thorough explanation and X-rays being shown and options given. This has been a heartbreaking experience exposing a child to ridicule from her peers and the public appearing toothless and not doing a surgical procedure as was initially explained. I cannot believe that this man could be so heartless and have such lack of empathy. I would not give even one star. This has been unconscionable and unethical.

They were so good with my son today. They made him feel so comfortable and not be scared.

I appreciate knowing my child was in great hands. Thank you to the entire team!

"From my 8 year old son: Me: What would you say to Dr. Clay? Jackson: “Thank you Dr. Clay for everything, my teeth are great!” Me: What do you think about that office, what would you want other people to know about Dr. Clay? Jackson: “I’m not scared to go to the dentist anymore. I had a cavity fixed and I DIDN'T EVEN FEEL ANYTHING! All the kids books about the dentist say the shot and my mouth might hurt after but they lied. I really didn’t feel anything. Oh! And there is a lot of cool stuff to play with and look at, and they give you toys, and an extra toy if you wear their T-shirt (they gave me that too!) There are video games to play while we wait. I want you to take me sometime early so I can play longer. Why can’t we go when we don’t have an appointment just so we can play in the waiting room? ...There are Disney movies to watch if moms won’t let their kids play with video games. And a tree you can climb into to hideout. The little kids go in there a lot. It’s fun at the dentist.

Dr. Clay and his staff are amazing! All four of my children have been going to his office since their first dental visit. They always make my children feel at home and comfortable. I definitely recommend this office! :)

Dr. Clay and his staff at Children's Dentistry of Chattanooga, again, took such great care of my daughter! She was having some pain, and they got her in quickly to assess the problem. Our visit was handled so well. We also appreciated that waiting is being done in the car so that we can all minimize our potential exposure to coronavirus. I HIGHLY recommend this office!

My son’s first dental visit was amazing. He felt completely comfortable, and had lots of fun too!

As always, my 3 girls loved their visit to see Dr. Clay at Children's Dentistry of Chattanooga. The hygienists and assistants always make them feel comfortable and so special. One of them had her first cavity, and they were able to take care of that right away instead of having to come back. That's great customer service! I highly recommend Dr. Clay and his staff!

It was great. Dr. Goins and his staff are excellent with kids. I have a very nervous 2 year old and they work with her very well.

My daughter Emily had 4 teeth extracted yesterday (8/19) and we couldn’t be more pleased with both Dr. Goins, but also his office staff. Great bedside manners. They made both myself and Emily’s experience as easy, comfortable and painless as they possibly could. I trust the dental care of my children in the hands of Goins practice 110%. I highly recommend Dr. Goins and his office staff. Thank you so much for taking such good care of Emily!

Amazing office and dentist!

My children love Children’s Dentistry of Chattanooga and Dr. Clay! My oldest child has always been very shy. At our first appointment, I was concerned that she would not respond well. However, the dental hygienists were so kind and patient with her that she was able to relax and had a great first visit. That was 9 years ago! To this day, we only have great things to say about Dr. Clay and his team! They have always taken the time to answer all our questions and make sure all of our needs are met.

I would never recommend Clay Goins. He was great on our first visit, but that changed when we came back. Terribly rude. I nearly cried I was so angry. Long story, but put it this way, this is the first time I have gone out of my way to leave a bad review. Horrible experience. He spoke down to me like I was a child.

My kid loves this place. We have been coming here for years. The staff and dentists are great.
