I saw Dr Stoeckl for years for tmj pain. I would leave and get in the car and cry most times. He would make me feel like I was an anxious basket case. Unusual case. All the feelings and comments not associated with care. Thankfully, my husband was transferred to the Carolina’s for work. I discovered upon seeing a dentist here that my jaw is out of alignment. Likely from past braces and a missing tooth that can throw off your bite. It’s torqued basically. Creating jaw pain daily and headaches most days. I’m starting Invisalign to shift teeth to their proper position. Realizing that if this had been done before I would’ve felt better. Don’t waste your time here with the expert from Marquette who seems to know all about tmj. (Maybe for a run of the mill case but nothing complicated!) I suffered needlessly for 10 years!!! His comments disguised as humor were awful and the pain was intense in my jaw!! Look around for proper care is my advice. It’s not hopeless!!
