Dr. David Novak, DDS

I’ve been a patient for several years and have generally had a pleasant experience with the staff. However, during my appointment on 4-16 at 3 PM (which I have proof of), I encountered unprofessional behavior that was disappointing. The front desk staff member (I believe her name is Angela) was confrontational when I asked about Friday appointments, making a remark along the lines of, “I wouldn’t want to clean your teeth for you on a Friday.”Additionally, the dental hygienist was rude and unprofessional, stating that she had 'lost hope in me' a completely inappropriate comment in any healthcare setting, irregardless over being a few minutes late.On a positive note, the supervising dentist, whom I’ve seen several times before, was kind and courteous as always. Still, I’m saddened by the decline in professionalism and respect from other staff members during this visit.

I was foolish enough to continue going there after many years and seeing it get worse. Last 20 minute visit was billed near TWICE the contracted amount allowed by the insurance plan. Insurance helps by limiting it but almost $1,000.00 for 20 minutes work? Where is that even reasonable? $500.00 max for 20 minutes? Of course its not billed in minutes. But you get the point. Rushed service of poor quality and insultingly high priced for poor quality work. I will not go back. I was advised they now charge 3% to take credit cards and $100.00 for a missed appointment. Never going back!

I was a patient of this practice for several years. The night before my recent appointment, my flight home from a work trip was cancelled, requiring me to take a flight home to Greensboro the following day. When this unfortunate situation occurred, my primary focus was securing childcare for my 2 school aged children. The next morning while in the airport, I got the text reminding me of my appointment. When I called the office to inform them of these circumstances that were obviously beyond my control, I was informed I’d be receiving a bill for $100. If you’re looking for a practice that places zero value on their patients in difficult circumstances, and treats you as a dollar value and not a person, then this is the practice for you.

Always in a rush and his work shows it

Dr. Novak does great work and is fast yet efficient. The (big) problem is the office staff. They don’t answer the phones or return calls. Terrible to deal with!

Dr Novak and all of his staff have been nothing but highly professional and caring while providing services to our family. I highly recommend this practice for dental care. Love the ladies in the front office!

The person checking in the patients is really rude and short. She is not customer service oriented at all. Her attitude is of someone not happy with what she does for a living.

let's face it who honestly enjoys going to the dentist. I sure as well don't I have extreme dental anxiety, letting them know that was able to keep my headphones in and let them do their thing. The office people were great and understanding, I too have a busy life and they understood that and planned the work around my schedule to the best of there ability. I for the most part think this is a great dentist.

They changed my appointment time by half an hour without informing me. Even with me waiting in the reception area, and asking when were to be seen, no one told me the appointment was moved. I was with a 4 year old, who got really upset that she was waiting so long. I had to leave work and make arrangements to make up the time for this appointment. I could have saved myself half an hour, and saved my daughter the wait. The dentist himself is always rushed, so I won't mind going elsewhere.

The person at the front desk, Tammy?, is incredibly unprofessional, especially over the phone. I am switching dentists because of her. When making a cancellation or change, she audibly huffs into the phone in an exasperated manner. I cancelled an appointment several months ago b/c I got a new job and couldn't take off. When I called to change the appointment, she acted irritated, so I just said don't reschedule me at all, but she did anyway.?.just called to cancel and she acted the same.
