Dr. David Schirmer, DDS

Dr Schirmer performed a root canal and cap on my back tooth. Afterwards that tooth kept getting infected. I saw an Endodonist who informed me the root canal Schirmer did was overfilled and had punctured through the other end of the canal. My Endodontist had to remove the faulty root canal and re-do the whole procedure at great expense to me. I paid twice to have my root canal done due to sloppy work by Schirmer.I have not had any problems since my root canal was redone.I cannot recommend this dentist.

I was a patient of Dr. Schirmer for a few years, during which time I had regular cleanings every three to four months and some expensive other dental work completed. I consistently was told by the hygienist that I was doing a great job cleaning my teeth, that I did better than most of their patients. At my last cleaning visit, I realized that I was feeling uncomfortable with that dental practice; I hadn't seen the dentist himself for quite a while and I was getting the same "you're doing a great job keeping your teeth clean" even though the gums in the back of my mouth were bleeding when cleaned. I became concerned enough that I realized I needed a second opinion as something felt wrong. I went to another highly recommended dentist and discovered that I had periodontal disease in three of the four back areas of my teeth - no wonder they were bleeding! Did not care for this dentist. He is not that friendly and the office staff is not that friendly. . Prices are way out of line.. Get a written and signed qoute for procedure work.

Schirmer Dentistry is a great practice.
