Dr. Frank Avason, DMD

By far this is the best dentist I have ever been to. His staff is great. I can highly recommend this dental office. They are kind and very caring.

After being in the area for approximately five years I finally found a dentist who is as good as if not better than anyone I’ve ever experienced in my lengthy dental affairs. Let’s start with the staff. They are professional, courteous and knowledgeable. The offices are clean and sanitary. Dr. Avon is probably the best dentist I’ve ever dealt with. I am presently getting implants but there is nothing he can’t do. I’ve got “thing” with needles and dentists in general. Collectively these folks were able to put everything to rest and make me feel as comfortable as ever. The aftercare is unparalleled. I could not recommend a dentist or an office as much as I would Dr. Avason.

I am usually terrified of dentists due to past experiences, however Dr. Avason explained everything that could possibly be done for me, then let me decide. A dentist in Hickory told me I would have to pay $30,000 to get a few inplants for my bottom dentures, because the dentures won't hold without any teeth to hold on to. Dr. Avason's office did my surgery, put me to sleep for it (thank you Dr.Bob), did the inplants, and are making my new, better dentures. After 9 yrs. I will be able to eat healthy foods again.

I just moved to the area and needed a dentist. The staff did a great job. Dr Avason, addressed my issued and explained what was causing it, and the treatment. He was the only dentist that I have went to I the past year who explained what I was feeling and why. I would highly recommend Dr. Frank Avason and his staff.

Dr Avason repaired my chipped front tooth and did a poor job. He seemed more focused on telling stories about a ski trip to his 3-4 nurses in the room, then paying attention to my work. When I approached him a couple of weeks later about my teeth not looking right, he said he did the best he could. My new dentist says, without hesitation, that she can fix and stated that the performing dentist (I didn't tell her who did the work) did NOT do a good job!
