Excellent Knowledge, Horrible Interpersonal Skills
I would have left 1 star, but wanted to give credit for the doctor's excellent knowledge in his field. However, the fact that he had zero empathy for this patient's fear in the chair, as he refused to utilize nitrous oxide or a sedative Rx for my anticipated visit(s), left me surprised and dismayed. Then to top things off, when I finally arrived for my first round of work, he kicked me out of the office due to my high level of anxiety and nervous questions presented, and refused to work on me in the future.?!So, again, presumably superior skill, based on our prior conversations about my condition, but deplorable patient connection competency!

This has to be the worst Dental Office in Pembroke Pines starting from the top down. Dr. Kaplan is very unprofessional, very RUDE and does not listen to his patients. He believes his opinions are the only ones that matter. Dr. Kaplan stopped working on my root canal in the middle of a procedure after after numbing my mouth because of a insurance refund issue with Delta Dental insurance he was unhappy with. He just walked off and said "give this patient his money back I no longer want to finish this root canal". I am a 46 yr old Fireman easy going person and I have never rated a business or doctor online but how I was treated by Dr. Kaplan and his office was so egregious I had to come here and share my HORRIBLE experience.

VERY RUDE OLD MAN !!!!!! – Nov 07, 2019

Dr. Kaplan is an excellent dentist, whose kind and considerate. Going through a root canal is a costly and unpleasant experience, and he did everything in his power to reduce that. He took the time to explain the procedure and it's recovery, and it all went perfectly. I highly recommend him!

No consideration! Paid for a root canal just to tell me it needs to be extracted after the fact. He told me I would have to extract it AFTER root canal procedure I had tears coming down my face because I've extracted teeth before and did not want to do it again. He was mean and rude! He did not care at all.. Did not want to prescribe anything for pain, I was in pain all night. Very cold.. Worse dentist experience by far! Go to him at your own risk! #regrets

I had a very bad tooth pain after placement of a temporary crown and Dr. Kaplan's office took me in as an emergency. He performed a root canal for me, which was my first. I am not sure who the reviewers in this thread saw, but Dr. Kaplan was extremely professional, he explained every step of my procedure, and I had NO pain for THREE appointments for a root canal. If I ever have another dental concern or issue, I would call him before my primary dentist. I would also recommend him to all.

Believe what the other surveyors have stated; he is quite rude. However, I snapped right back at him and we were all good. Dr. Kaplan might be a bit older for most of us, but I feel he is still good at his craft and knowledgeable. I had not only one, but two root canals done by him with in two years, so that should tell you something. It may be time for him to retire, but he is still thorough with handling the care of your teeth. The staff is nice as well and will work with you with you.
