Sleep better
I seen Dr Stern for sleep Apnea. She suggested an oral sleep appliance that she thought would benefit me. I have been using it for over a week now and my husband says I have not stored and I am not sleepy during the day. When examining me she saw I am grinding and clutching my teeth and my jaw was extremely tight. She recommended a day splint for TMJ use and I have felt so much relief . Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend Dr. Stern.

Find another specialist
She did not help with my TMJ issues. Mouthguard is extremely uncomfortable and making appointments was a hassle. Overall a weird vibe in the office with rushed appointments. She does not check in and call when she says she will.

The staff here is amazing! Communication was excellent. My TMJ symptoms have much improved and I look forward to the rest of my treatment.

It isn't possible to give 0 stars, is it? Would not recommend this doctor. Terrible service, unlikeable doctor & awful hours. She couldn’t have been less helpful and unapologetic when the mouthguard she gave me literally malfunctioned. Tried to blame it on me and told me "you chose this one". Ummm... with her guidance. I'm not someone to post a bad review, but I had the worst experience from start to finish with this office & feel I need to warn others. Go elsewhere!

Would not recommend. I saw her for TMJ there was no communication at all. She told me “ it’s all in the folder “. After I wore the mouth piece she made me I was in excruciating pain. I decided to get a second opinion from an oral maxillofacial surgeon he told me never to wear mouth piece again my jaw was protruding so far forward with the mouthpiece in he said it could’ve gave me lockjaw. Go to someone who is board certified!

I visited Dr. Stern and I am still experiencing TMJ pain. Would not recommend. My insurance did not cover my appointments with her. Would recommend another specialist. Dr. Stern gave me a folder full of materials how to take care of my appliance. When I asked her a question about taking care of it, she said its all in the folder.
