Dr. Ian Fessler, DMD

Dr Fessler is excellent...I followed him from Somerville to Needham and I would not trust anyone else with my mouth.

Dr. Gillis was/is a phenomenal dentist. As others have stated Dr. Fessler had big shoes to fill, and in my opinion has not reached the caliber of Dr. Gillis. My appointments are constantly rescheduled, and when I was finally able to have my appointment with Dr. Fessler it felt completely rushed. He runs out of the room any moment he gets to attend to several other patients he is seeing at the same time. He doesn’t answer questions clearly and concisely, because again he is rushing out of the room to attend to so many different patients. Dr. Gillis took his time with his patients, and as a result I always felt and knew I was getting top care. I would not recommend him.

The tooth removal was relatively quick and painless. )ffice staff was informative when questioned

Dr. Fessler is a top-notch clinician as well as a good guy who is patient and willing to explain the options are for treatment. When Dr. Gillis retired I was a little concerned how about the new dentist.Having been a patient of Dr. Fessler for a year I know I made the right decision of continuing with him.

Dr. Fessler is both professional and friendly. He gave me good advice about the crowns I'll probably need in the near future. He seems very competent and I'll request him to do the work.

I think Dr. Fessler is a fantastic dentist. I was a patient of his at the Twin City Plaza Somerville and when he moved to his new location I traveled to have him treat me. He talks to you and explains everything neeeded to keep you healthy.

Dr. Fessler is very knowledgeable and is adept at keeping me, who is especially nervous when going to the dentist, calm and pain free as he does dental work on me.

I've been having more problems with my teeth as I get older and my last cap went very smoothly. I thank Dr. Fessler.

Didn't see DR. Fessler this last visit. My hygenist was pleasant and competent. But one thing that continues to bug me is that this practice always seems to be pushing more and more x-rays on me. On this last visit, it was claimed that bitewing x-rays were due—but then when I inquired about having had them recently, was told that they were taken on my last visit. (Aren't they supposed to be done every 18-24months?) Thanks for being so conscientious, but I can do without the extra radiation!

Dr Fessler is very professional and knowledgeable and his demeanor puts you at ease!

Dr. Fessler stepped into bug shoes when he replaced Dr. Gillis. I was a patient of Dr. Gillis for 40 years since Dr. Gillis first started practicing in Needham. I was quite skeptical of someone replacing Dr. Gillis as I had never been impressed with the many dentists that were brought in over the years. Dr. Fessler surprised me. He is competent, practical and patient oriented as Dr Gillis was.

I was very happy with my recent appointments. I am in the process of having a crown made, and implanted. Doctor Fessler was very careful, thorough, and considerate of my welbeing.

He is absolutely great! He is friendly. He is caring. He does not do things just for the sake of doing things.
