Dr. James Gates, DDS

Very competent dentist, I was a patient for 20 years. I had a toothache and called for an appt only to be told they no longer accepted my insurance. I offered to pay cash for the visit and was told they weren't allowed to do that with no further explanation. They knew it would be difficult for me to find a dentist in my area accepting new patients. They turned away a 20 year established patient that was in pain and needed help. In my opinion this is the worst kind of medical professional.

They were very friendly and very thorough, they are the best dentist in my opinion, ill recommend them to anyone, the best experience Ive had at a dentist

Had two extractions on first visit ,and three fillings on the next one. NO PAIN !!! The greatest Dentists (BOTH) and Staff, Everyone is so NICE and caring. I wish there were Dentists like this when I was young!!!

I have always had a good experience with Dr. James Gates. His technique is gentle with excellent results whether examining teeth, giving an injection or filling teeth.

Dr. Gates is amazing! He's been my dentist since I was a little girl. When I broke my two front teeth (the permanent ones), he built them back to look even better, and he's fixed them every time since. People are astounded when I tell them my teeth are fake! I live out of town now, but I still drive to Marion for dentist appointments with Dr. Gates. He does great work and truly cares about his patients!

Does not make referrals to the appropriate fields of medicine. Just leaves his patient for dead. If a tooth is not cracked, then it is a skull fracture. It is the only bone left in the head.

We would recommend Dr. Gates to family and friends! Service was performed in a timely manner, Dr. Gates was kind and professional, and service charges were very reasonable.
