Dr. Jesse Gray, DDS

I saw Dr Gray all throughout childhood. I wish I would have known and trusted myself when I foresaw issues. He did not take my jaw issues or overbite into true account. He was able to fix the appearance of my teeth but not the underlying issues. I now have sleep apnea and breathing problems, I am having to undergo multiple surgeries to correct what he ignored.

I was referred to Dr. Gray by my dentist at the time because I had developed an open bite. Dr. Gray did successfully close my bite (mostly). It wasn't perfect, but my bite looked great, and was much more functional than before. However, because he retroclined my teeth so much, it trapped my lower jaw back creating extremely painful and chronically swollen masseter muscles and popping discs. Also, the size of my airway significantly decreased and I now have sleep apnea. Please- never get camouflage orthodontics, there is always a consequence. I wish I would have gone to a progressive dentist to holistically fix my bite. I even think surgery would have been better. I am now in MSE (a fixed palate expander) then plan to have double jaw surgery to open my airway. I wish Dr. Gray would have told me about the negative potential consequences of camouflage orthodontics. Now I am 40 years old and am having to undo it all. It is a huge financial and emotional toll. He is a wonderful orthodonists and runs a great office. I would recommend him to anyone.
