Dr. Joel Chasen is a consummate professional with heart! The practice is NOT a money mill! He wants to save teeth and not profit by destroying perfectly good ones! It was my husband's first visit and Dr. Chasen put him totally at ease. We were beyond impressed with Dr. Chasen's knowledge, patience, and comforting/caring manner. 2 Excellent Root Canals
I’ve had two root canals performed by Dr. Chasen. The second one followed a botched crown from my former dentist. My new dentist was impressed with with the small hole and quality of the work. Dr. Chasen did a great job putting me at ease.

Knowledgeable, excellent explanation, painless
When going in for a root canal, not many people even know what is involved, or they think it's going to be extremely painful. Dr. Chasen starts out explaining in general what a root canal is, and then he shows you on your computer x-ray image the exact steps that will be performed in YOUR specific case. There were no surprises, and I was aware beforehand of any and all sensations I would feel, but most of all, NO PAIN! The staff was friendly, well informed and the wait time was minimal, even though I came in on an emergency basis. The office was bright and clean, and even the dental chair was quite comfy! I live quite far away, but even if I lived across the country, I'd come back here for any future root canals....but I hope not to make that any time soon!

Had a wonderful experience with Dr. Chasen. I never had a root canal before seeing him. He and his staff (meriden and stratford offices) were extremely friendly, understanding, and accommodating. Dr. Chasen's confidence and knowledge is very reassuring. He is honest and straight to the point which I appreciate. His suggestions/ warnings he provided me about my oral health were spot on and if I had listened to him the first time I would not have been sitting in his chair a 2nd time. He's great and he referred me to a great dentist as well. I'm definitely happy with my experiences. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone in need of a root canal.
