Dr. Spivey saw my daughter about a month before her appointment and said her teeth looked fine to cap, with the exception of one my daughter broke when she fell. She said she would ALWAYS try to cap a tooth rather than pull it. She was even going to try to cap the broken one. The day of the surgery, when we were talking about the operation, I asked if there was any alternative to pulling the broken tooth if it could not be capped. She said something along the lines of "don't worry about that right now. After we get her sedated and we do the imaging and see what is going on, I will come speak to you before we start the procedure" I reiterated that we would speak before the surgery and she responded verbatim "I will come speak to you before we even touch her teeth." Some time later, we get called in and Dr. Spivey proceeded to tell me she pulled 4 TEETH! She did not speak to us before hand AT ALL. She lied to me. She told me her teeth were loose and there was infection, which I do not believe. Dr. Spivey was also late that day. I assume she made the decisions she did because she wanted to speed through the procedure to get back on her timeline. That is the only reason I can think of for her to a) cut me off and tell me not to worry about extractions, b) not come speak to me between imaging and procedure, and c) pull 4 teeth instead of capping them. Her staff is excellent.
