Dr. Lihong Lin, DDS

We were referred to an orthodontist due to our child having a very narrow palette and not having enough room in their mouth for the adult teeth to come in. Dr. Lin fitted my child with upper and lower palette expanders. We did a full course of treatment with the palette expanders and retainer and Dr. Lin said that the treatment was finished until my child was ready for braces. Then about 6 months to 1 year after my child was finished with the expander and retainer, her dentist again recommended that we see an orthodontist because my child still did not have enough room in their mouth for all of the adult teeth. I was very surprised since I had trusted Dr. Lin to do the work appropriately. We then got 4 other opinions, 3 of which suggested a second round of palette expansion prior to putting on braces. Dr. Lin was the only one ready to put on braces right away. We went with another orthodontist, which will result in my child having a second round of palette expansion and then braces.
