Dr. Loan Mao, DDS

My 5 year old needed to get cavities filled and remove an extra baby tooth. Not easy for a child to have get done (or even an adult). Dr Mao and her team were great and the procedures went very smoothly. They made sure our child was comfortable, knew what to expect at each step, and answered all of our questions with clear communication. They are genuinely caring and made it as 'fun' as procedures such as these could be. The office set up is clean, decor is inviting, and the TV on the ceiling for kids to watch Netflix is an extra bonus. Highly recommended!NOTE: Apologies, I clicked on 'Helpful' on the other poster's review (about a glove) by mistake and was not able to retract it. That review was very NOT helpful and reads more like a parenting issue than a doctor issue.

Never coming back. We have been going to Dr. Mao for 2 years now with my two children. On our first visit the nurse made a comment about my 4 month old baby that she looks mean. If you have nothing nice to say, just don’t say anything at all. Today we went for cleaning with my 4 year old and my 2 year old. My little one loves rubber gloves and asked for a glove in the office. The nurse said no, I said ok I have gloves in the car. As we were leaving my daughter was crying for a glove for like 5 minutes and did not want to leave. At this point I just wanted to grab her and leave because there was nothing I could do or say to get her mind off of it.The doctor comes out and tells her she can have one but she MUST stop crying and ask for it nicely (after she already did the first time in the office) she kept repeating that she must stop crying.There is nothing wrong about crying if that’s how they feel! I’m sorry your parents were shaming you for your feelings but you won’t shame mine.
