Dr. Mark Hebertson, DDS

He wanted to redo a root canal and when I declined and instead asked to have the tooth extracted, he said it's 'nothing to worry about, don't worry about it. I have large lumps along my jaw line that appeared after my root canal a few years ago, I wanted help with the lumps. When he realized I wasn't going to pay him $1200 for a root canal it went from recommending a root canal to 'don't worry about it.' He even had the audacity to say something along the lines of 'this is how I make my living' ... Unbelievable. TL;DR: He did not help me.

Shannon provided a great overview of what was expected regarding pricing and my insurance. Dr. Hebertson took his time to explain what was to be done and calmed my fears about the impending root canal. His Mr. Rogers monotone voice was soothing and removed all my fears and doubts. Continue to do great work.

Due to the severity of my pain, my dentist was not able to perform the procedure and referred me to Dr. Hebertson. Dr. Hebertson and his staff were very friendly and professional. Dr. Hebertson provided detailed step-by-step details of the procedure. I am always bracing for pain when I visit the dentist, however, before I knew it, the procedure was completed and I never felt a thing!!

Went in for a root canal and was terrified as I’ve heard how horrific it can be. Well, let me tell you, getting a filling with my regular dentist (who I love) was longer time wise than my root canal. And no pain whatsoever!! I mean it when I say I could’ve probably taken a nap if Dr. Hebertson wasn’t explaining everything before and as he was doing it. I appreciated the communication tho, and I was in and out in less than an hour. Great bedside manner, calming voice, gentle and way kind. Again zero pain. Highly recommend.

Very friendly. Explains everything as he works on you. Asks you if you have any questions. Also, the office staff is friendly. Additionally, my wait time was short.

Just had my second root canal today (15-SEP-2022) with Dr. Hebertson; first was in April 2019. On both visits, I felt I was in excellent hands. Dr. Hebertson went out of his way to explain everything that was happening as he worked on me. His office is very pleasant & super-clean. He has all the latest technology and is extremely experienced, knowledgeable, & very personable (a gentle, friendly "bedside manner"). I did get a rather large bill initially, because BC/BS Anthem was billed first & didn't pay anything on the claim. Once it went to Aetna, the balance was covered. Fantastic experience, the experienced hand and knowledge on saving my tooth. My dentist recommended it be pulled or have an implant. After an evaluation with Dr. Hebertson, an oral surgery was recommended. The tooth was saved, no pulling or expensive implant. Dr. Hebertson was willing to do this in a most effective way. Bring your wallet because this guy is as interested in what’s inside of it as the inside of your mouth. While he is generally competent (worked on a root canal) I was flabbergasted with the final bill! I had 3 dental insurance plans BUT was billed an additional $900 out of pocket expense after one insurance denied under its “reasonable and customary” clause...I don’t knock his work, just the price of it!

I visited this office for a root canal for my daughter. The receptionist found us an appointment quickly and encouraged me to check with my ensure to get an idea of what they would cover. We arrived early on the appointment day and were seen quickly. Dr. Hebertson was extremely patient and personable. My daughter is 16, and we didn't know what to expect. He took his time, explained each part of the process, and answered all of our questions. Regarding our charges for the day, the standard expectation for payment is $400, but because they had already encouraged me to contact my insurance company, I had an accurate amount for less, which they honored. There was a technical issue when we were checking out and the receptionist took my info and said she'd follow up with them later. My daughter's experience was great, and as a parent, I was very pleased with the entire visit.

I was referred by my dentist because he thought I needed a root canal. Dr. Hebertson said I was imagining the pain. I got a 2nd opinion and found I had a fractured jaw. Obviously he is not a good listener.

BEWARE! Not good! I was told $400 out of pocket max for procedure only later to get a bill in mail for $900. My insurance doesn't even cover the procedure he did. Not to mention he charged my insurance an evaluation visit without even looking in my mouth.... now my regular twice a year evaluation and cleaning appointment isn't covered. Honesty isn't his best policy. I only gave one star because ZERO stars isn't an option.

Professional and efficient office staff. Dr Herbertson was friendly, explained procedure and it was pain free. Very pleased with his work and would highly recommend. Very competent and fully equipped office.

I called to make an Appt..I told the girl what Insurance Company I have.I got there and gave the girl my Insurance Card.The Dr. said I have an infected tooth under my crown,He said my Dentist can take care of it.The tooth was killing me but he didn't give me any medication for it.I made an emergency appt. with my Dentist when I left there.My Dentist looked at it and said "He said you have an infection but he didn't give you an antibiotic?".I got billed because they don't take my insurance.BEWARE

Great endodontist! Performed a quick and painless root canal on a very difficult rear top molar. Definitely recommend!

Without reservation I recommend Dr Hebertson . I didn't know what to expect and was delighted by his step-by-step explanation and gentle work. My routine care dentist referred me to Dr. Hebertson when I asked for a person with extensive root canal experience. I was apprehensive because one reviewer expressed dissatisfaction with his receptionist. My experience was totally positive. Everyone was open and considerate. I could not have hoped for a better experience.

A very good visit and outcome. My tooth was very infected and my dentist referred me to Dr. Hebertson for a root canal in order to save the tooth. Even tho my gums were sore from the infection, the shot did not hurt. He is very good at not causing any pain and he explained everything he was doing as he went along which helped my anxiety a lot. I couldn't recommend a better Doctor for a root canal.

No thorough explanation of procedure or after care, especially not sending home post op instructions. No bedside manner and not interested in patients who are experiencing problems after procedure.

Dr Hebertson is an excellent dentist from my view point, and was glad I did not have to have a root canal!
