Dr. Martha Smyth, DMD

The receptionist, Kathy, went out of her way to be horrible and rude to me on the phone. I tried to make an appt to see Dr. Smyth, who I was told by a patient of hers was very nice. Unfortunately, I had to get past Kathy. I'm a diabetic, and my tooth broke, meaning that (1) I have difficulty eating and (2) I'm at much higher risk for having my broken tooth become and remain infected. Kathy refused to make me an appt, and when I tried to explain the situation to her tried to argue with me and said,'No, it's not like you can't eat, you can still eat soft foods.' She was actually yelling at me. I'm terrified of dentists to begin with, and I wouldn't call her back if ll of my teeth were falling out. I'd give them ZERO stars if I could.

I have been going to Dr. Smyth for the 6 years I have lived in Florida. Like others, I was apprehensive about finding a good dentist when I moved here. Dr, Smyth was a great "find"! She and her staff are warm and welcoming and visits are as stress-free as any dental visit can be. I would definitely recommend her to everyone!

Dr Smyth and her staff are by far the kindest, most gentle, and caring dental professionals up and down Granada Blvd if not the County. I used to be petrified of dentists, Not anymore and actually look forward to my annual exams and cleanings. As soon as you enter the office and speak to Kathy you will know you are in good hands and a sense of calmness will appear out of nowhere ??. Not sure about the negative review but looking at all the other website reviews I hope she doesn't plan on retiring soon.

My husband and I are part time residents and we always time our visits here to be able to have our dental cleanings and any necessary dental work done by Dr. Smythe and her excellent staff. Doesn’t that tell you a lot?

I retired to the Ormond Beach area a few years ago. Having had only one dentist in my lifetime, a fifty year plus relationship, I was very anxious about starting anew. Dr. Smyth and her staff have been a revelation. They are pleasant, professional and competent. My children are now patients of Dr. Smyth and I have recommended her to my brother as well. Enough said.

Dr Smyth is the best dentist we ever had. When you are there you have her full attention for any questions you may have. I had so much work that had to be done she guided me through it all. I am sad that we move away from Ormond Beach last month My husband and I will truly miss Dr Smyth and her fabulous STAFF.

She spent hours are care saving two molars that the endodontist wanted to pull. She is gentle and very aware of patient comfort, pls her work is excellent. Her office staff also excel in their work, from admin to cleaning to tech. The best -- and I've spent too many years in the dental chair so I can say this with confidence.

We have been patients of Dr. Smyth for many years and have always been Very Satisfied with the work that she does. The entire Staff has always been professional and aware of our needs and act accordingly. We have quite a distance to drive but it is well worth our time.

After being required to do extra full mouth radiography to be allowed to have a cavity filled, I had it repaired. Within a short period of time the repair came out and I had it fixed again during cleaning appointment. It again came out again a month later. They charged for each repair even though it was not done properly. The office person was very ignorant and demanded co-payment even though it was not done properly. Extremely ignorant to my wife and I. I am now where I started less $1000

Great Dentist with a wonderful staff. No problems with schedules. Highly recommend.
