Dr. Meryl Baurmash, DDS

She is a fabulous orthodontist. She really understands what the patient needs and does not over treat. Her staff is wonderful as well

I went in for an orthodontic repair. Before I could even open my mouth, I was told that I would need to go back to the orthodontist 2 hours away, which I had moved from, hence the appointment here. Once I opened my mouth, I was berated over my known and tracked gum disease. Dr. Baurmash would not listen to my dental history or my own concerns without consistently telling me the detrimental shape I was in. I felt she was completely insensitive, and I spent the entire appointment being scolded. My retainer was not fixed. I was referred to see someone else. On the way out she said, “maybe one day you’ll be back on my doorstep.” I most certainly will not.

My daughter began treatment with Dr Baurmash when she was in second grade. This was 2000. She had a severe underbite and overcrowding. Dr Baurmash treated her in two phases and my daughter finally was released from care when she was 14 years old with a big, beautiful smile. Fast forward now to 2019 and my oldest daughter is 25 years old, living and working in San Diego, California. She went to a local dentist, the first on her own and she just called me laughing about how Gugu gaga he was over what he called her perfect orthodontia. He got all geeky and technical in explaining his excitement over the perfection of what had been done to her pallet, her bite and her teeth. He told her that hers was the best orthodontic work he had ever seen. All these years later we come to find out that she was even more exceptional than we already thought she was.

This is the best Orthodontist office, staff and Dr. B. are the best of the best!!!

Two years I have been bringing my daughter, every month here, this Orthodontist is always in a rush, very rude, never talks to my daughter or me ( her Mom) never know what they are doing, she has braces, if I ask a question Orthodontist is short with a answer, would never recommend this place, staff are not friendly either, worst place, my daughter hates coming here and she is 15! Go somewhere else, wish I did!

Horrible horrible horrible. I have nothing good to say about this orthodontist. Terrible mean personality. Always panicking. Incompetent. Avoid avoid avoid.

Dr Baumash is the only Orthodentist I have encountered with my son that seems to have real ethics in not applying braces etc too soon. She seems confident in waiting and treating for the shortest time possible rather than years of dental work.
