Dr. Ngoc Chu, DDS

I highly recommend Dr. Chu. He makes a new crown for you right in his office so you can get a new crown in one day. Very knowledgeable and professional.

On one occasion Dr. Chu didn't use anaesthetic while drilling my molar. On a return visit he also did not use anaesthetic despite my request, but suggested that I raise my hand if I felt any pain; when I raised my hand he did not stop. That experience caused me to find another provider. A few months after switching the filling he installed crumbled to pieces in my mouth because the cavity was not fully excised and had been growing under the filling; my new provider had to order a root canal and noted that the state of the decay was widespread enough that Dr. Chu must have seen it when performing the initial filling earlier this year.Visiting Dr. Chu was a painful experience which did not effectively treat my issue; I do not recommend this provider.

I went in to see Dr. Chu about some tooth pain in my molar. He decided to drill into the tooth without numbing me first-- however, this didn't stop the pain, so I returned some time later to get it re-addressed. This time, I specifically requested that I be numbed. Dr. Chu not only refused, but he suggested that I raise my hand if I feel any pain and promised that he would stop if I did. I raised my hand, he did NOT stop drilling despite his assurances, and I never returned. Now, six months later, I went in for more pain in the same tooth, and have been informed that there's a cavity so huge that I now need a root canal. This in the SAME TOOTH that so-called 'doctor' Chu worked on, and the decay is so great that he almost certainly would have seen it when he worked on me earlier this year.

Dr. Chu is truly a very special and exceptional prosthodontist. He is very professional, knowledgeable, thorough, giving clear explanations of his diagnosis and treatment plan. The best prosthodontist I have had. Dr. Chu is very trustworthy, straight to the point, friendly, care, and efficient. Great experiences with this prosthodontist. His office is immaculate, the staff are friendly and pleasant. Highly recommended.

My wife had seen Dr. Chu for several years and was very happy. When my dentist retired last year, I saw him for routine x-rays and cleaning and everything was fine, from ease of making appointments to his personality and care to a reasonable price by today's standards. I now need to change my next appointment before i have surgery (surgeon's requirement) and they could see me the next day. If dentistry is not fun, at least it can be a pleasant experience.

Fantastic! I have been with Dr. Chu for many years, since my son was a young man in need of multiple implants. Dr. Chu was magnificent with him, out him at ease and explained everything in detail, to a young man who knew nothing of dentistry or medicine and was obviously anxious. It was a no brainer to see Dr. Chu for myself when I needed crowns. As a physician myself, I deeply appreciate Dr. Chu's humility in approaching patients, his clarity, his patience. His sense of humanity is outstanding: as someone who works in an underserved community, seeing that he has worked for underserved populations in Asia only deepened my trust in him.

Dr. Chu went above and beyond to create a solution to a crown problem that saved me time and money.

he did my bridge..... 2 days after I has to see him again because it came loose !!! 2 times like that. the 3rd time, it last a little more than 1 year... now it get loose again. More than 20 years ago, other dentist, did my bridge, it last more than 20 years !!!! So, i never ever want to see him again :-(

Having lived and worked around the world and have had a multitude of dentists, I can sincerely recommend- to the highest degree- Dr. Chu. He defines professional but goes way beyond the that. He is affable, deeply caring and kind. I never thought I could ever look forward to a visit to the dentist , but this is a rare and wonderful gentleman and I look forward to seeing him for every appointment. There should be a category beyond five stars because he surpasses five stars in every category.
