Dr. Nicole Totten, DMD

Quite literally the worst dentist I’ve ever had to deal with, and she barely even touched my mouth. I started going to Aspen dental in Grandville to get my wisdom teeth taken out and a few other operations on some teeth that were getting bad. Her and her coordinator failed to provide references twice, and caused me to have to wait on an abscess in my tooth, which caused me to have to urgently go to them again and they turned me down and sent me home with zero pain medication even though it was her fault for not providing me with the correct information. Told me it was my fault. This was before the other 3 appointments when they sent me away after driving to my appointments because her or her coworkers didn’t go into work. I simply can’t make this up. She should not have a dental care license. I will never come back.

I have been seeing Dr Totten for about 6 years now, and I couldn’t ask for better care. She has been at my side through my dental health journey, and continued to council me in proactive health. She has wonderful chair side manner, and has an obvious care and concern for her practice. I trust her, and am very thankful for all her help in getting my dental health on track.

HORRIBLE crown experience. I had a crown put on by Dr. Nicole Totten and experienced significant pain after. I went in for the pain and nothing was done. 1 week later two foreign bodies came out of my gum where the new crown was, the severe pain subsided. After weeks of working to get my medical records from Aspen, the X-rays show the crown was not put on correctly (confirmed by another dentist) and it shows the cement piece stuck in my gums. I've reached out to the regional manager (Kiefer Dugenske) twice with no response in two weeks. I'm looking into legal action. Please go to a smaller owned dentist who cares for their patients.
