Dr. Nidhi Jain, DMD

I visited a dentist to get a brown spot removed from one of my teeth. Even before the doctor could see me , a bunch of X-rays were taken. Finally when the brown spot was removed the doctor said that my Gums were swollen and I need to see a Gum Specialist and recommended to see Dr. Nidhi Jain. I visited Dr. Nidhi Jain in Marchand unfortunately, I had a very negative experience. Despite explaining my symptoms in detail, I felt that the doctor didn't take my concerns seriously or provide thorough explanations. She came in for just a couple of seconds and said I would need a gum surgery without any explanation (Out of my pocket cost $3800+) . I was shocked since I had no prior issues with my gums and no pain at all. The diagnosis I received was not only inaccurate but also led to unnecessary confusion. In addition to the misdiagnosis, I found the communication with Dr. Jain to be lacking. I didn’t feel heard during my appointment and felt uncomfortable with the dentist's attitude or professionalism. She was being dismissive of my concerns, lacking empathy, rushing during my appointment. I also felt that the surgery was being offered as a financial over treatment of my gums. After seeking a second opinion, it became clear that the initial diagnosis was incorrect, which caused me significant distress. What I needed was just a deep cleaning (out of my pocket cost $100 only). Dentist refer their peers to get more patients and do not care if the patients are going to suffer the consequences. I hope this feedback helps improve the doctor-patient experience for others, but I would not recommend Dr. Nidhi Jain based on my experience.
