Dr. Pirkle has been our family dentist for over a decade. His work is excellent. My husband and I have referred other family members to him. His staff has always been pleasant and very accommodating. This former teacher gives Dr. Pirkle an A!

When I refused the yearly X-rays - which are not mandatory contrary to what anyone tells you unless there’s an issue such as tooth decay- Brianna Webb, the so called dr, came into the room visibly upset. She was rude, condescending and seemed frustrated that she couldn’t coerce me into getting X-rays. She started inspecting my mouth with the sharp explorer in such an aggressive way I told her to stop and got out of there so quickly. Never a dialogue, just do what she says or else, then I got a letter firing me as a patient, jaja, the irony. Me and my husband will never go back there or anywhere where this person works. She seems to think she knows best and you should just do as she says, no questions asked. Awful

Avoid this office at all costs. I have delta dental insurance, this dentist referred me to periodontics in Vero. After 2 office visits, I ended up ~1000 bills and my insurance only pays $252.80. I am responsible for over ~700 bill. There are 2 in-network periodontics in Vero and my insurance would cover 80% of the cost. But I do not know why Pirkle referred me to an out-network provider. Avoid Pirkle and Jeffery Brown at all costs if you have delta dental insurance.

They do NOT accept Medicare dental insurance at all!!

Office manager was rude, they preferred to treat my wallet instead of me. I flew back to Illinois a week after my visit here and saw my old dentist. He confirmed they were trying to sell me unwanted procedures.

Went to the office and told them I had delta dental and only wanted a cleaning and anything that insurance would cover. They took xrays ,did exam and said I need a 900 deep cleaning. I asked for just a regular cleaning and they refused. I went back to my old dentist that day and they said I was fine and didn't need a deep cleaning it was just a way for them to make a lot of money. Delta also refused to pay for the xrays they took because it was too soon. what a ripoff joint.

Though he was a good dentist, he recently abruptly left all of his patients in Gainesville, Florida without notification. I am now scrambling trying to find a new dentist for my family. The right thing as a doctor and for your patients would have been proper notification in a timely manner. No loyalty - unprofessional!

Accountant / office manager gave unnecessary and unwanted opinion about immigration in US. Also criticised condition of my teeth. Dental work satisfactory but way overpriced.

Extremely irresponsible staff. Changing schedules without notice. Extremely rude and condescending.
