Dr. Paul Brown, DMD

I became a patient in this practice a few years ago and was very pleased with my dentist. I am not able to tolerate the gum probe procedure and he explained that the policy required a release of liability form which I signed. When he left, I had another good experience with his replacement. Recently, when I arrived for my cleaning appointment I was informed that the owner, Dr Brown, decided that if I did not tolerate the gum probe procedure, I would not have the cleaning done that day and I would be dismissed from the practice. I was told this in the lobby by the office staff. Dr. Brown was sitting nearby-clearly visible-but never spoke to me. I tried my best but could not make it through more than about 10 sticks and was then told to leave. I received a letter a few days later confirming my dismissal and siting my unhappiness with the practice as one of the reasons. The ad for this practice talks about their compassionate care. I have never been treated with less compassion!

I have been treating with the Brown family dentistry for over 50 years. As a child my parents took me to see Dr. Brown, Sr. and as an adult I continue to treat with his son, Dr. Paul Brown. Dr. Paul Brown is a true dental professional (as was his father). Dr. Paul Brown is not only skilled in his profession, uses state of the art dental technology, and truly cares about his patients. Dr. Paul Brown and Baran Dentistry come highly recommended.

Southern Dental is a high-end facility which charges exorbitant amounts of money for a simple cleaning. Hopefully dental practices will soon be regulated by Medicare/Medicaid.
