Dr. Rex Johnson, DDS

Dr. Johnson has made both my daughter's and my grandson's teeth beautiful! Two generations of our family have trusted him and that trust has not been misplaced. He makes visits fun, connects with kids in a way that makes them comfortable, and never talks down to them, but isn't afraid to talk straight with them when they don't follow the rules.

My daughter just finished treatment. Her teeth look fine but Dr. Johnson’s behavior came off kind of odd to me. When my wife would bring my daughter in he would constantly talk to her and would act super interested in their conversations. Then when I would bring my daughter in he completely ignored me. Plus more than once we waited over twenty minutes while the doctor was in the restroom. This is a very small office and everyone there knows and hears when he's the bathroom. Another thing that bothered me is more than once he looked at my daughter without wearing a medical mask. Kind of gross. Also the staff seemed to have a very difficult time billing my insurance. It was a bizarre experience and I just did not care for the hot and cold treatment. If we had not paid in full I would’ve gone elsewhere to finish her treatment.

First impressions of this office were awful. It took over two weeks for the receptionist to return my phone call after I left several voicemails. When I came in for a consultation for myself for adult braces I noticed that office was really old and outdated. The restroom was dirty and the overall odor was very off putting for a dental office. The place just looked very unclean and unsanitary. I sat in the waiting room for well over thirty minutes and the staff just seemed like they couldn’t keep up. Once I was able to be seen I felt rushed and was quoted an obscene amount for a treatment that would take less than a year. Also the hours are only three days a week which is just not practical for today’s modern families work and school schedules. I went with another orthodontist here in town who could actually accommodate my schedule and worked with my budget. I wouldn’t recommend this office.

Complete waste of time and made my teeth look worse than they did to begin with. How do I braces for an extended amount of time with a very poor results as to what had asked for and it was assured that it would be no problem with braces to get my teeth looking the way I wanted them to.
