Unprofessional
Although we have a good PPO dental & health ins. plan, we were made to pay costs upfront & told once submitted with insurance, the insurance company will reimburse us the difference. We are now out $500 for over 30 plus days. Not sure why they couldn't contact our insurance to find out our co-pay. And then, upon receiving the diagnosis, we were given a referral to the University of Maryland, who never returned my call. I contacted Dr. Kramer's office asking for a referral to Johns Hopkins. They refused! I asked to have Dr. Kramer return my call. A few hours later I received a voice mail from the receptionist stating she spoke to Dr. Kramer and he only gives referrals to the University of Maryland. 'If we want a referral to JH, we can contact our primary care physician.' I googled JH oncology. Spoke to a very kind receptionist who make us an appt within a week. We were blessed that our insurance didn't require a referral so we could address this time sensitive diagnosis.

One of the receptionist was very rude when we checked out. She became very short with me and aggressively threw down her papers after she realized I had put down incorrect info on form. Very unprofessional and made me very uncomfortable. Was very evident she did not like her job.

On a Friday afternoon my molar caught fire.—That is what it felt like. My regular dentist referred me to Dr Kramer who worked me in to his busy schedule and proceeded to extract the offending tooth. He could not have been kinder or more reassuring and relieved my pain just as he said he would. The staff were also very kind and supportive and took wonderful care of a first rate sissy like me. I well know what it can do to a schedule to “work someone in” as I am a retired pediatrician and am acutely aware of the problems that develop when squeezing an extra patient in—Unfortunately, patents already scheduled can not often be forgiving. Nevertheless, Dr. Kramer worked this hurting patient in and saved him (me) from a miserable night. What a wonderful guy! And that accolade applies to his entire office. Thanks Richard. So very much!

I have visited him twice in the past and again need a dental surgeon. He was excellant! I am absolutely terrified of dentists, but he was quick, efficient and discomfort level was minimal. I would highly recommend him!
