I have never been treated so poorly by a healthcare professional. Dr. Nguyen is extremely unprofessional, rude, and impatient. When he quickly checked my teeth, he told me "your bottom teeth are crooked, wear your retainer" and then left. If he truly cared about his patients and conversed, he would know that I wear my retainer every night. He doesn't care about his job or patients and most likely wanted my money and hoped I would buy invisalign or braces. I would NEVER recommend Dr. Nguyen.

I haven’t been to the dentist for a while and I was scared when I first came in and saw Dr Shawn. He took the time to explain to me why my tooth was hurting and made me feel very comfortable. I was expecting to have to schedule for the procedure. He was able to fit me into the schedule that day to help me out of pain. He was very gentle giving me the shot and the procedure actually didn’t hurt at all. I would definitely recommend Dr. Shawn to anyone who is a dental phobic like I was.

This review is for the Troy office location under the care of Dr. Shawn Nguyen. I work in healthcare and am very familiar with patient care and compassion. Regular cleanings with Dr. Nguyen may be fine for someone, however, when the issue is more than a basic exam or cleaning it seems that Dr. Nguyen falls very short on his level of professionalism, compassion, and empathy. Emergencies do happen and I would not want to have him as a dentist when a real dental problem existed.
