Office told me that she's a periodontist Specialist and accepts Medicaid. Faxed referral letter from primary dentist to see a periodontist. Staff gave me fax number to receive the referral for work ordered to perform which was coded for Crown Lengthening for crown prep and needed to be done prior to prepping for Cap & Crown. She don't have a Medical Degree as a Periodontist. She's a Dentist Practioner. I was charged for a service that I didn't receive. They filed a claim to Medicaid insurance, requesting payment over $1500 for service billing procedure with incorrect Dentistry Policy codes. the claim of the procedure description for peri surgery policy code does not even exist according Dental CPT code numbers.
Had consultation in beginning of June 2024. discussed reason of referral, and scheduled to perform Crown Lengthening procedure for end of June, 2024.
I had to pay what my insurance didn't cover a balance of $599, that was due immediately when I checked in. In the office visit with Dr. I was informed my tooth decay was to far gone to restore tooth and needs extraction instead. She left the room, and her receptionist came back to bill me an additional balance $$$$ in order to extract my tooth. I was confused and didn't understand why i just paid for the procedure which she couldn't do, billing me for more work to extract tooth instead.
When I wanted answers, and questioning why I was being charged for a service she couldn't perform that day. My insurance covers extractions 100%. I was mislead, believing that was the only choice I had and was very persistent it needed to be done...
I had no plan to get dental implant or bridges because the cost is severely expensive, and its cosmetic which is not covered. Since she could not & did not perform procedure based of referral order. She shouldn't have done anything period, should have advised me to see my Primary dentist for second opinion, and talk over other plans with great detail.. SO, therefore I went in for specified procedure and came out toothless after paying out of pocket cost of $1000 for an extraction!!!!!!! Will never recommend services to anyone!

I first met Dr. Abdallah in an emergency situation. First visit was an emergency root canal, on an evening weekend right around xmas. She drove in, during a huge snow storm, and took her time doing a great job. I was so impressed I made her my regular dentist and have been back many times over the years. Routine cleanings and most recently 2 dental implants. As always she took her time to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend!
