Dr. Vaidya Selvan, DDS

Tried to fill a cavity without Novocain. After a few painfully failed attempts he finally gave me some, but didn't rub any Novocain on the gums prior to injecting the needle. After the injection he immediately (less than a minute) started working on the tooth before the Novocain could possibly take effect. I complained about the pain so he waited a few minutes. Barely touched the tooth with the drill, and it still hurt when he did drill. I never felt Novocain during the procedure and barely felt the Novocain on my lip or tongue as one usually does well after the procedure is complete. Not sure if it was a low dosage or injected into the wrong location? Now I am worried the tooth may still have decay or isn't correctly filled. The whole experience felt rushed and that he was trying to cut corners.

Our experience with Dr. Selvan has been top-notch. His office staffs are professional, efficient and friendly. Appointments are convenient to set up through his website or by phone call. We have never had to wait more than 10 min. As a doctor, he has been incredibly helpful and a great listener. He takes time to explain the procedures in detail and make sure we are getting the best treatment available. We also appreciate that when he has given a referral for my daughter (Orthodontist).

My teenage daughters and I have been going to Dr Selvan for our dental needs for the past 8 years. Dr. Selvan has been very professional, attentive, and accommodating in cases of emergency. He has a very gentle manner and puts children (and adults) at ease. I would recommend him highly.

I have been a patient of Dr. Vaidya Selvan for many years & have found him to be an excellent dentist. He makes me feel comfortable prior & during each procedures. I find him to be knowledgeable of his craft & very intelligent. He has excellent people skills.
