TMJ
At 75 I developed TMJ. My dentist referred me to Dr D'Ascoli for braces to correct the problem. I got Invisalign braces and today I can at my TMJ is gone.

I chose the Reno office as it is a 5 minute walk from my work. However, their office staff move to a different office EVERY DAY so if you have an emergency you may have to drive to South Lake Tahoe, Incline, Fernley, or Carson to be seen. I was unaware of this as I figured each office had it's own staff. If I had known of this, I would have chosen another orthodontist. They said from the beginning in February I would do treatment for my jaw by putting Invisalign Wings on my liners. Invisalign denied this request in July and instead they put buttons on my teeth to help move my jaw forward. Less than 5 hours later, one of the buttons fell off. I called to get an emergency appointment and they cannot see me for a week as they move their office EVERY DAY. Now I will be a week behind in my elastics/moving my jaw forward. With my jaw condition, when my jaw is not held forward with the elastics it is very hard for me to breathe while I sleep.

I elected Dr. D'Ascoli after several co-workers had praise for him and his team. I was not disappointed. D'Ascoli is compassionate, genuine and cares about his patients. . I was so impressed with the whole staff, when it came time for my son to have work done, D'Ascoli was the only choice. My son had a bad experience years ago, with another dentist, and Dr. D'Ascoli and staff demonstrated patience and kindness to allow my son to become comfortable with them. My son would not go anywhere else.

Before my braces were put on 2 years ago I hated my smile. I had a major over bite, to the point that you couldn't even see my bottom teeth when I bit down. My arch was very narrow due to sucking my thumb when I was young. I love my new smile and am very pleased with how it turned out. The staff and doctor are very helpful and were willing to do what was needed to get me a smile I love.
