Dr. Wayne Claiborne, DDS

I have been going to Dr. Claiborne for over 25 years. I love that he does everything himself. X-Rays, teeth cleaning without needing a dental hygienist. I like that because he can keep his costs down by not have specific dental procedures done by someone else. He is very knowledgeable and skilled in his work. He has a great bedside manner. Always talks to you about your life and tells you about his life and interest. I love that personal side atmosphere with a doctor/patient. His office has a very homey feel to it, with an area for children to play. I have never had a bad experience with Dr. Claiborne or with his office staff. They always greet me with a smile and words of kindness. I highly recommend this dentist for all your family needs. He has saved me many times from needing expensive dental work. He is down to earth and genuinely cares about his patients.

Our family dentist retired about a year ago so we tried Dr. Claiborne on a recommendation from a friend. So far we are happy with the quality of care and the staff.

What a terrible and costly experience! I went in for a dental exam, but all he did was look at a place that I had had something stuck in my gum. He scraped tartar under my crowned tooth and was so rough it is still throbbing three days later! He didn't do a check up or x-rays. He only does metal fillings. Next day the same crown pops off. I let them know and get a call back that he is not going to recement it and they canceled my appointment and told me to go somewhere else! Don't trust him.

While I appreciate this office's willingness to take patients with Medicaid my client was refused services for missing one appointment. I explained that my client has an intellectual disability and struggles to maintain all his appointments. I apologized that our staff did not make sure he made his appointment and assured her that as a supervisor I would guarantee he would arrive at his scheduled time. Nope. No appointment granted, no flexibility. Wish there was more compassion here....sigh
