Dr. Lin received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Taipei Medical University. After concluding his internship and general surgery residency at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh Children Hospital and microvascular surgery training at Johns Hopkins Hospital, he completed thoracic surgery residency at Ohio State University Hospital and cardiac surgery fellowship at Mayo Clinic. He was accepted as fellow of American College of Surgeons, American College of Cardiology, American College of Chest Physicians and Society of Thoracic Surgeons. His board certifications included: American Board of Surgery and American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Lin has participated in over 5000 heart operations. Since moving to San Diego, he had performed more than 2500 beating heart bypass surgeries without the need of heart lung machine. His surgical expertise include complex structural heart surgery, surgery for arrhythmia, surgery for great vessels, high risk coronary artery bypass, and thoracic surgery including lung cancer and video-assisted procedures.
