This provider has no reviewsCounselingPO Box 999Savannah, GA 314020.5 miles awayBiographyThere isn't a magic formula or one correct way to change. That's the good news. I'm Lynn Honeycutt, Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Addictions Counselor in Georgia. I have been working as a counselor for over 10 years to walk with clients through Recovery (from addiction, depression, anxiety, relational issues, trauma) and towards whatever goals they want to reach. I believe that you CAN make changes (in behaviors, perspectives, emotional states, life, and well-being). What works for me in Recovery (hiking, dancing, yoga, meditation) may not work for you, and that's OK. I partner with you to determine what your goals are and to work towards achieving them by talking, thinking, and acting differently in ways big and small. Change is rarely easy, but it is always possible. Partnering with a counselor to talk you through it can often be helpful. Let's work together to remove barriers to achieving your goals and to get you the results you desire.

Life inevitably presents us with challenges, some larger than others. It is how we tap into our resiliency and take ownership for our lives that determines how effective we feel. Everyone at one point or another experiences feelings of hopelessness, helplessness, confusion, isolation, anger, fear and anxiety. It is not about how we banish these feelings but rather how we learn to cope with them, forgive ourselves and others, and take control of our lives back.

Rated 5.0 out of 5 starsCounselingPO Box 999Savannah, GA 314020.5 miles awayBiographyHello, my name is Mark and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia. I have been working in mental health for twenty years. I have raised five children and have a lot of life experience in addition to my professional training. My Bachelor's Degree is in Religious Studies and my Master's Degree is in Community Mental Health Counseling. I have two years of training in Christian Counseling where I was certified through my church. My counseling approach is one of collaboration. We will work as a team and put our minds together to find solutions. Once the problem is identified we can come up with a set of steps with small goals along the way to achieve. When you achieve a goal we will make a new one to get you another step closer to your end goal and a successful/desired outcome. As part of the work we do I will likely assign homework to complete between sessions and sometimes I will challenge you with a therapeutic task. Part of your job in our work together is to be as open and honest with me as you can. If you are having a bad day I want to know about it. My role as a therapist is to listen to you in a non-judgmental way, provide unconditional support, and be genuine and authentic at all times. Together we will create a plan to tackle problems one by one. We will prioritize what is most urgent and start there. I believe people can/will get better when they work at it regardless of the challenge they face. I use elements from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Adlerian Psychology primarily when helping in addition to Spiritual Therapy for my Christian clients that request it. I am a natural encourager and believe in my client's ability to improve. Years of experience working with all age groups, in varied settings and diverse populations providing therapy for clients with severe and persistent mental illness and substance use disorders has prepared me to help if given the chance. I look forward to working with you!
