Dr. Nicholas Goyeneche earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed a four-year residency in the specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans. This training program is recognized for an emphasis on non-surgical treatment of conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system (bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles). In this training, he also received expertise in treating a full spectrum of traumatic brain injuries, from severe injuries requiring inpatient care, to sports concussions. Following the completion of his residency training, Dr. Goyeneche was selected into a fellowship training program in musculoskeletal and sports medicine at The Andrews Institute for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Gulf Breeze, Florida. Here, he was able to work alongside and learn from innovative and world-renowned leaders in the field of orthopedics and sports medicine, including Dr. James Andrews, the current team physician of Auburn University and the Washington Commanders of the NFL. Dr. Goyeneche also assisted in the care of NCAA student-athletes at The University of West Florida, as well as the Pensacola Blue Wahoos - the AA affiliate of the Miami Marlins.
