Dr. Edward Weeks Dauterive III received his undergraduate degree in marine biology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He then earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Louisiana State University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Upon graduation, he completed his residency training in internal medicine at the Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge at Earl K. Long and Our Lady of the Lake Hospitals. He completed his fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at Baylor – Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas where he also received additional training in advanced biliary endoscopy (Endoscopic Ultrasound and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography). Dr. Dauterive is board certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology and hepatology. Dr. Dauterive is currently a resident of St. Tammany Parish.
