Hi there! My name is Susan Grimmo and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I graduated with my Masters of Social Work from Salem State University in 2017. I worked on a dual diagnosis inpatient psychiatric unit before transitioning to the Court system where I currently work full-time! I have worked with many different populations and enjoy working with individuals with substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, relationship issues, & family conflicts. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional who is blessed to love my work. Using creative expression and exploratory conversation, I have (since 2006) had the honor of witnessing my clients' personal, relational, and professional growth. I have been licensed to practice counseling in Massachusetts since 2013, and was previously licensed in Texas. Clients who respond well to me are often learning to cope with and heal challenges related to: anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, self-esteem and confidence, relationship concerns, career exploration and life transition, grief/loss, and issues specific to women. I enjoy making use of mindfulness based approaches and therapeutic creative expression with clients of all ages and backgrounds during a variety of life transitions.
