I am a general internal medicine physician practicing adult primary care and have been practicing for almost two decades. I enjoy being able to work in science while helping others. My special interests include management of cardiovascular disease and cardiac risk factors including hypertension, diabetes, smoking cessation and hyperlipidemia. In my free time, I enjoy golfing, hunting, bicycling and cross-country skiing.

I practice general outpatient internal medicine. This means that I treat adults with nonsurgical health concerns. I enjoy getting to know people over time as I help them stay up to date on preventive medicine, control any medical problems that they have, and treat any illnesses that they develop. I have experience working as a doctor in Illinois, where I focused a lot on managing high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol and depression. My favorite part of being a doctor is getting to know people as unique individuals and working together to help them achieve their goals.

I am board certified in pediatrics and internal medicine, and work with patients of all ages. I perform well-child checks and annual physicals, and manage chronic medical conditions (such as diabetes and hypertension). Acute care visits and minor clinic procedures (laceration repair, abscess drainage and splints) are also services I provide. I am passionate about working with patients from underserved communities. I enjoy the challenge and variety of medical conditions as well as the ability to form long-term relationships with patients and their families.
