Dr. Mariani completed his Orthopaedic Residency in 1986. Board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery, he is a member of the AOAO. Dr. Mariani served as Chief of Staff for Kennedy Memorial Hospitals. Having served as its Director of Orthopedics at Kennedy Health System, as well, Dr Mariani was instrumental in the growth of the orthopedic program at the institution. Dr. Daniel has written numerous peer reviewed scientific papers, and several book chapters and has presented his research nationally and internationally on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions related to the foot and ankle. He is currently involved in the development and design of specific implants for patients with deformity related to diabetes mellitus and trauma. He draws on his experience in the management of all aspects of foot and ankle surgery to include deformity correction, sports injuries, arthroscopy, reconstruction, fracture management, arthritis, neuromuscular conditions (to include stroke and cerebral palsy) and ankle replacement surgery. Dr. Daniel is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, where he serves as a member on two national committees. Dr. Daniel proudly served his country on active duty for 20 years and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army.
