Dr. Kimberly Morel is an Associate Professor of Dermatology and Pediatrics at Columbia University Medical Center. She joined the staff of NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital in 2003. Dr. Morel received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her medical degree from SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn, New York. She completed her residency training in both Pediatrics and Dermatology at the New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University and was a fellow in Pediatric and Adolescent Dermatology at the Children's Hospital, San Diego, University of California, San Diego. Maria Garzon, M.D. is Professor of Dermatology and Pediatrics at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons (VP&S) and the Director of the Division of Pediatric Dermatology at NYP Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital. With a significant body of published research, leadership and teaching experience, Dr. Garzon is an internationally recognized leader in pediatric dermatology. She is a leading expert on the care of children and adolescents with vascular anomalies, particularly hemangiomas and vascular malformations. Dr. Garzon is the Founder and Co-Director of the NYP/Columbia University Irving Medical Center (NYP/CUIMC) Interdisciplinary Vascular Anomalies Group, a founding member and past President of the Hemangioma Investigator Group (HIG) and a founding member of the Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance (PeDRA). She is a past President of both the Society for Pediatric Dermatology and the New York Dermatological Society. She completed residency training in Pediatrics at the Children'sHospital of Philadelphia where she was selected as chief resident. Dr. Lauren then returned to Columbia University to complete her Dermatology residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Following her training in Dermatology, she completed a Pediatric Dermatology Fellowship under the tutelage of Dr. Maria Garzon.
