He additionally co-authored a multi-center study evaluating rehabilitative care of extremity fractures in spinal cord patients. Ongoing areas of research interest include the use of technology to improve surgical outcomes, decrease infections, and provide improved overall care to patients. Dr. Sutton has previously volunteered with multiple organizations, including March Of Dimes, Habitat for Humanity, and multiple hospitals in the Atlanta, GA area. Dr. Sutton lives in the Charlotte area with his wife, a practicing pediatric emergency medicine physician, and children.
