I established the Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology at what was then called Novant Health Presbyterian Hospital in 2012 and was the first gynecologic surgeon in North Carolina to be awarded Master Surgeon by the Surgical Review Corporation, a global nonprofit patient safety organization. \n I've taught gynecologic surgeons and directed continuing medical education courses throughout the United States and Canada. In addition, I received a "Best Doctor" award from the North Carolina Business Journal, a "Top Doctor" award from both Charlotte Magazine and the Charlotte Business Journal on multiple occasions. \n After graduating from Dartmouth College, I earned a master's degree from Georgetown University before pursuing my medical education at the George Washington University School of Medicine. I served as The Academic Chief Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology during my final year at the George Washington University Medical Center. \n I've been happily married for three decades, and my wife and I have three grown children.
