Hello! My name is Lisa Warden and I am a licensed Social Worker. Prior to completing my college, I worked as a massage therapist. I am very aware of the mind-body connection and how we can use our body to heal our mind. I've worked most of my career with helping those in recovery from Trauma, addictions, and personality related issues. These symptoms often really hold a person captive and away from the fulfillment of potential and in a constant state of survival. It gets me very excited to see a client who has been through hell, begin to thrive and enjoy life in a way they may have not thought possible. It can be very challenging to reach out for help and schedule a session. I offer a warm and flexible style (and often include humor) and I actively work to meet each client where they are and offer the encouragement and the skills to assist getting clients to where they'd like to be. Welcome! My name is Kori and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of North Dakota. I received my masters degree in clinical mental health from the University of Mary in 2013. I have worked in the behavioral health field for may years in several fields including corrections, residential and outpatient programs, human service centers and private practice. I have experience with a wide variety of mental health issues. I have experience with anxiety, depression, life changes, gender identity disorders and trauma and abuse. My counseling style is person centered and wholistic. I use a cognitive behavioral approach and motivational interviewing to help clients explore and get to know themselves better as well as the world around them to work towards their goals. I have always had an interest in helping people who are ready to take the steps needed to be their best. I k now this can be a difficult journey. I have been practicing as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker for over 11 years, practicing in clinical setting for nearly 15years. I am licensed in Minnesota and North Dakota. My experience during that time has been varied. I have practiced as a Employee Assistance therapist whereby my primary practice model was Solution Focused therapy and a fair amount of couples counseling. I've also worked in a community mental health capacity conducting primarily individual therapy but also running a groups. I utilized several approach's including CBT, solution focused, narrative, and focus on chemical dependency issues (including co-dependency). Additional areas of focus included depression, anxiety, personality disorders, SPMI, chemical dependency, and criminal court concerns. I've also conducted therapy exclusively for military personnel, helping with the unique challengers presented to that population. I garnered significant experience helping folks overcome depression, anxiety, stress/trauma, and overall adjustment to life change. I have a years experience (September 2021 to August 2022) conducting online therapy via primarily telephone, as well as via video. I am currently working with military personnel in a non medical, solution focused (basically, EAP) capacity for military personnel as a primary practice I approach therapy from the perspective of everyone can do better than their current circumstance. We cannot control life's problems, we can however, garner the courage to seek help to overcome these problems and improve ourselves. I enjoy assisting people in doing so and finding their "ah-hah" moments in life's journey. The therapeutic alliance is paramount in helping a patient achieve their overall goals and also to enhance the therapists overall ability to help the patient grow and develop.
