Yi Huang, MD, FACS, is a fellowship-trained breast surgeon and certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Huang completed her undergraduate studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and received her medical degree from New York University (NYU). She completed general surgery residency at Northwell North Shore-Long Island Jewish, where she became particularly drawn to women's health and cancer care. Dr. Huang completed her fellowship in breast surgical oncology at Yale University, where she trained with national leaders in the field of breast surgery. She uses the most innovative surgical techniques, including SAVI SCOUT® wireless localization, nipple- and skin-sparing mastectomy, and oncoplastic surgery. Dr. Huang is passionate about obtaining the best oncologic outcome while maintaining good aesthetic results. Her clinical interests include breast cancer in young women and racial disparities in breast cancer care. She has previously presented her research at national conferences and earned top awards. In addition, she has published in peer-reviewed journals for both clinical and basic science research.
