Upon graduating with honors from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Dr. Houlton completed his residency in head and neck surgery at the University of Cincinnati and fellowship in Head & Neck Oncology/Microvascular Reconstruction at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, is a Fellow with the American College of Surgeons, and is apart of the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute as Director of Head and Neck Quality and Patient Outcomes.

Dr. Horwich is a board certified head and neck surgical oncologist and reconstructive surgeon. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia he completed undergraduate, medical school and Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery residency at Dalhousie University School of Medicine. He then completed two clinical fellowships in head and neck cancer surgery and microvascular reconstruction - the Medical University of South Carolina in 2019 and Louisiana State University at Shreveport in 2020. He also completed a masters degree in education in 2021. Dr. Horwich is currently an active member of the American Head and Neck Society (AHNS) and sits on multiple national committees focused on improving patient outcomes.
